Terms and Conditions

The Customer understands and agrees that when registering/or modifying the registration with the (FAWRAN) service and linking the Alias with his account with Arab Bank, the Customer data (name and/or account number and/or alias/name of his service provider) will be shown to the originator of the transfer on the payment channels of the system participants.

The Customer undertakes choosing the correct purpose of the transactions made using this service and not to use the service to make donations or any other means that are prohibited according to current laws.

The Customer (not the corporate customer) undertakes not to use the service to for commercial purposes, also the customer being an individual or a corporate entity further undertakes to solely use the Service for the activities that they are legally licensed to carry out according to their commercial register or trade license or professional license.

The Customer shall solely bear the responsibility that my result from debiting his account (s) when using this service or any liability that may arise from mistakenly transferring any amount(s) to any other account or making purchases to merchants through (FAWRAN) service.

The Customer irrevocably authorizes the Bank to reverse any transfer transaction and debit his account to return it to the initiator in the event that the Bank at its own discretion finds that the transfer was made by mistake or there was an error in the amount of the transfer whether such mistake/error is from the initiator or the system itself.

The Customer understands and agrees to show his full name and his registered data on the

(FAWRAN) Instant Payment system to all subscribers when making any inquiry and/or transfer to his account using his alias.

The Bank may block the service from the customer at any time without notifying the Customer and without bearing any responsibility at its absolute discretion in case the Bank finds out that the customer has violated any of the conditions of dealing or any of the banking customs, or if the Customer does not observe the law and the principle of good intent or for any other reason estimated by the Bank.

For the purposes of processing the transfers, the customer authorizes the Bank to provide Qatar Central Bank or any party specified by Qatar Central Bank with the customer’s data, which is updated periodically, as well as to exchange information and / or data with other financial institutions involved in processing the service, and the information exchange process is carried out in compliance with laws or the standards for the Qatar Central Bank.The customer hereby acknowledges and approves that the Bank may provide the data of the customer and the beneficiary of any transfer transaction and the details of such transaction upon request by official authorities and/or the Bank’s advisors and/or auditors for any reason.

FAWRAN service is provided within the state of Qatar, according to the currencies approved by the Qatar Central Bank.

FAWRAN transactions are subject to the fees (if any) specified on the bank's website and for the limits specified by the Qatar Central Bank.

The Bank will not be responsible for any errors, damages, loss, costs, or expenses that may be incurred by the customer as a result of a violation of these conditions or wrongful use of the Service or as a result of his negligence, and the Customer shall bear all compensation, costs, claims and damages that the bank may be exposed to as a result of the same.

The provisions mentioned in the general and special conditions manual for dealing with bank accounts and electronic services, and any amendments thereto shall be applied to the extent that they do not conflict with these conditions.

The Customer is responsible to reporting the bank directly for any complaints or suggestions, by calling the Call Center.

The customer acknowledges that he is aware of the bank’s implementation of due diligence procedures in accordance with internal policies and procedures, and related laws and instructions, which may lead to a delay in executing the transfer application or not executing the transfer without the bank having any liability for not executing or delaying in crediting the transfer into account.

The bank has the right to deny receiving or sending payments using this service according to its absolute discretion and to the reasons it sees fit.

The Service is subject to the instructions and restrictions issued from time to time by the Qatar Central Bank.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar and the Courts of Qatar shall have the jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising from the same.
